byPlayStation State of Play #8 Rundown
This morning Sony delivered their eighth digital State of Play event. While the half hour show did not pull out its big guns such as God of War Ragnarok or Horizon Zero Dawn 2, it did show off a number of upcoming games and release dates.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is coming to PS5. We already knew it was coming to the current and new generation but it is great to see it in action. The PS5 version of the game is available on March 12th.
Returnal
Next up was Housemarque’s Returnal with a entertaining gameplay reel. Returnal drops April 30th exclusive for the PS5.
Knockout City
Knockout City gets two big public reveals in a week. First with Nintendo Direct and now with PlayStation. Look out for the cross-play beta coming soon while the full version releases May 21.
SIFU
Slocap, developer of Absolver showed off their newest action brawler. It releases this year.
The official statement states:
“A third person action game featuring intense hand-to-hand combat, it puts you in control of a young Kung-Fu student on his path of revenge throughout the city.”
Solar Ash
Developed Heart Machine who were behind Hyper Light Drifter, show of stylised gameplay of Solar Ash. It is scheduled for this year.
Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach
Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach is a survival horror unlike it’s iOS and mobile games. It will be a 3 month exclusive on PlayStation and is also scheduled for this year.
Oddworld Soulstorm
Oddworld Soulstorm is close, April 6th and will be free for PlayStation Plus members. Check out the gameplay demonstration below.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits
Kena already has a lot of fans eager to get their hands on this title. It now has a release date of August 26th.
The official statement states:
“A story-driven action adventure with a stunning visual aesthetic combining exploration with fast-paced combat. Players find and grow a team of charming spirit companions called the Rot, enhancing their abilities and creating new ways to manipulate the environment.”
Deathloop
Arkane’s and Bethesda’s Deathloop looks better and better each trailer. This is a massive pick up by Sony, as Xbox fans will need to wait a year after release to get their hands on it.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade
Final Fantasy Remake is coming to P55 as Final Fantasy Remake Intergrade on June 10th 2021. This visually enhanced will be free for FFVII Remake owners. Player can purchase a brand new episode featuring Yuffie as the main character which includes numerous gameplay additions.
