Here at OMG we have all the news and announcements from the past week in one spot. Quakecon has started and we are covering it. Xbox has a lot more Game Pass additions. Nintendo and Pokemon showed off a lot of upcoming Pokemon project and we have a PlayStation Father’s Day guide. We have five reviews this week with Curse of the Dead Gods, Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla – The Siege of Paris, PAW Patrol the Movie: Adventure City Calls, Godfall (PS4 Edition) and I am Dead. Call of Duty Vanguard

The next Call of Duty is taking place in WWII.

With the announcement of Call of Duty Vanguard comes a limited time announcement event in Call of Duty Warzone titled the Battle of Verdansk.

The limited time reveal event is currently live and runs until 24 August at 03:30 AM AEST and brings plenty of rewards for participating and mastering this unique P v E Quads-based experience.

This month continues to see some big additions to the Xbox Game Pass service for subscribers including some big new releases and some fan favourites heading to the cloud.

Dishonored Netflix Rumour

It looks like Dishonored could be the next game to get the Netflix treatment, if the below rumours are true.

“We’ve exclusively learned from one of our trusted and proven inside sources that Netflix is developing a Dishonored project.”

Patch 1.3 is coming for Cyberpunk 2077 soon and it’s quite a big patch list.

The Diablo II: Resurrected Open Beta

The Diablo II: Resurrected open beta is on its way, and it can be downloaded right now.

Here’s how you get started:

“Starting Wednesday August 18, Windows® PC players will be able to pre-load the Open Beta via their Battle.net client. On Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation®5 and PlayStation®4 players will be able to pre-load the Beta from August 17 after the Early Access Beta ends from the store page(s) across the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Store. On August 20 at 10:00 a.m. (PDT) Windows® PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation®5 and PlayStation®4 players will be able to play the Diablo II: Resurrected Open Beta. This Open Beta is available to anyone in the public who wishes to participate on a supported platform.”

Oddworld Inhabitants Brewing Soulstorm for Xbox Consoles

Microids and Oddworld Inhabitants are pleased to confirm that the explosive action-adventure platformer Oddworld: Soulstorm is coming to Xbox One consoles and Xbox Series X|S. Retail editions will also be available for Xbox versions.

Late on Wednesday night Trainers were treated to a nearly 28 minute Pokémon Presents, this presentation updated trainers on the exciting updates about soon-to-be-released Pokémon games or titles already in circulation. Fortunately, it was a veritable smorgasbord of exciting information.

Pokémon Presents – Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl

This mornings Pokémon Presents event showcased another two Pokémon titles. These aren’t new entries into the series though, they are remakes of two of the more iconic titles from Pokémon’s past. Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are titles based on the Diamond and Pearl titles released on the Nintendo DS system back in 2007.

Review – Curse of the Dead Gods

A lonely and weary traveller discovers an old cave and decides to take shelter from the storm. Alas, he becomes trapped as the door to the cave slams shut behind him and he has no choice but to explore further. He happens upon a giant stone door and upon touching it, opens it but causing corruption to enter his soul. He proceeds to explore the temple to see what it holds in store. Curse of the Dead Gods, a Passtech Games and Focus Home Interactive production, is a roguelite temple explorer where the player will explore, complete the temple or die trying, apply upgrades, and then explore again. The addition of both fun to use weapons and random curses really keeps this title fresh and exciting from run to run.
