Review – Necromunda Hired Gun

Necromunda: Hired Gun is a fast-paced FPS that has touches of DOOM Eternal, Titanfall and ironically Cyberpunk at its launch. Developed by Streum On Studio and published by Focus Home Interactive, this frantic shooter is set in the Warhammer 40K universe and is a part of the original Necromunda spinoff tabletop series. Necromunda: Hired Gun’s action is relentless, the arsenal is gratifyingly beefy and the augmented specials abilities satisfying. It is just disappointing that these positives are negated due to the fact of an uninteresting narrative, A.I. issues and a large number of launch bugs. While I enjoyed most of my time with the game, the current issues could ruin the experience for many excited FPS and Warhammer 40k fans.

The Week That Was!

Another busy week and there was a lot in news, announcements and reviews coming up to E3. A number of publishers have announced their E3 involvement. More Games are coming to and leaving Game Pass. Sadly God of War is pushed back to 2022. We have four reviews in that of Necromunda: Hired Gun, Mass Effect Legendary Edition, Just Die Already and Alan Sharp - Chapter 0: Prologue. Quick Byte Review – Alan Sharp – Chapter 0: Prologue

Alan Sharp wants to be a lot of things, an ambitious experiment from the two-dev team that comprise Mystive Studios. An episodic first-person horror with puzzle solving elements from the perspective of Sam Whithers, formerly the assistant of the titular detective Alan Sharp, allows for some diverse mechanics to come together in an ultimately thrilling and genuinely terrifying crime investigation.

Chapter 0: Prologue sets a grisly scene. A nine-year-old boy has been violently murdered and his parents are now missing. Sam is sent to investigate and the lines between senseless violence and potential supernatural involvement begin to blur, sending Sam’s mind on a journey of self-doubt and questioning reality as he confronts the horrors that reside in the victim’s family home.

Review – Just Die Already

Influence from the team behind Goat Simulator + playing as the elderly in an “old people mayhem sandbox” = day one purchase. It’s crazy, ridiculous and absolutely pointless. None of those comments are negatives in Just Die Already, the absurdity keeps things silly, entertaining and fun. Check it out below as it appears on the Microsoft Store:
