Happy Monday Gamers – Welcome to the beginning of a new week of releases like Tunic and the Mario Kart 8 Booster Pack and re-releases like the Series X and PS5 version of Grand Theft Auto 5 to keep everyone occupied. This week’s edition of The Weekend Wrap consists of a handful of popular trailers from the weekend and another look at Lego Star Wars – Skywalker Saga releasing in early April. But like always, before all of that, let’s look back at what you might have missed by catching up with The Week that Was.

Here at OMG, we have all the news and announcements from the past week in one spot. PAX is returning and boy do we miss it. PlayStation hosted an interesting State of Play and we have all the trailers. While Xbox has a new product? We have four new massive reviews with WWE 2K22, Elden Ring, Shadow Warriors 3 and GRID Legends. Futuristic Armor and Prehistoric Beasts Clash in New Capcom IP, Exoprimal
“At PlayStation’s State of Play broadcast, Capcom revealed Exoprimal. This team-based action game is a new IP set to unleash a prehistoric blast from the past in the near future. Suit up in powered armour to put down dinosaur invasions and save humanity from extinction when the Exofighters deploy for battle on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Steam in 2023.
It’s 2040 and the planet is in crisis. Dinosaurs are appearing from thin air and laying waste to cities across the globe. Threatened by history’s deadliest creatures, the world turns to the powerful Aibius Corporation and its revolutionary technology for help. The company’s next-generation AI, Leviathan, can forecast where dinosaur outbreaks will occur and deploy Exofighters to the area. Armed with state-of-the-art mechanized combat armour known as Exosuits, these warriors represent humanity’s last hope.
Exoprimal pioneers a new multiplayer experience rooted in co-op – but with a competitive edge. In the game’s main mode, Dino Survival, teams fight for every breath against countless dinosaurs while racing to complete missions before rival squads in 5v5 matches. A dynamic mix of objectives keeps players on their guard and ensures each match is different form the last. Exofighters will need to stay on their toes as hunts transition into precious cargo deliveries or desperate last stands against relentless assaults. Opposing teams are even given opportunities to tackle adversaries head-on and impede their progress. While Exoprimal is purely focused on multiplayer, a narrative is interwoven throughout the game. Players can sink their teeth into the world’s rich history and colourful characters by unlocking new story threads and piecing together the mystery behind the dinosaur outbreaks.
Exofighters are always outnumbered and must work together to overcome overwhelming odds. Their Exosuits come in an array of classes, each playing a distinct role in combat. Assault models like the marksman Deadeye and the melee-oriented Zephyr excel at cutting down enemy swarms. Meanwhile, tanks such as the shield-bearing Roadblock and support types like the vital Witchdoctor help keep everyone alive to fight another day. Every model is outfitted with a unique armory and special abilities. Players can even swap between Exosuits on the fly to overcome any situation, no matter how dire.”

New LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Video Details Building the Galaxy
“Warner Bros. Games, TT Games, the LEGO Group and Lucasfilm Games released a new behind-the-scenes video (Building the Galaxy) highlighting the extensive breadth of content and sense of freedom players can expect in LEGO® Star Wars™: The Skywalker Saga. The development team share their process in bringing the entire Star Wars galaxy to life with living and breathing versions of iconic locations found throughout the nine Skywalker Saga films, and it’s all complemented by classic LEGO humour at every turn. The video also showcases the work that went into implementing weathering effects, differentiating sky colours, and bringing attention to every little detail unseen in previous LEGO video games.
Players will have the freedom to explore hub worlds from familiar locations such as Naboo, Endor, Tatooine, and the Cloud City of Bespin, to unlock new vehicles and playable characters, including Mama the Hutt, Yaddle and Babu Frik. Players may also find collecting Kyber Bricks on the varied planets as a main motivator for deviating from the game’s main path, which are used as currency to enhance characters ranging from upgrading Force abilities to increasing blaster firepower.”
