Demon’s Souls – PS5

Demon’s Souls is a game that tests the most patient of gamers and stays true to its origin. The world and the characters in it, though harrowing, are very beautiful to look at and completing the many challenging, but fair tasks in Demon’s Souls is a very rewarding feeling. It is not at all for the faint of heart and I imagine the global death-count is astronomical, although I highly recommend everyone try it, especially fans of the genre. Click here for our full review.

Kingdoms of Amular: Re-rekoning – PS4 and Xbox One

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is just as fun as it was 8 years ago. The added features Re-Reckoning received, such as the upgraded resolution and field of view slider are all welcomed. There is a lot to do in game and can take anywhere in between 40 hours to over 100 hours depending on how many side quests and exploring the player does. With the addition of the previously released DLC, it also adds to the value of the game. It may lack the bells and whistles of many other remasters that are out today, but it is still very enjoyable to play. Click here for our full review.

Mafia: Definitive Edition – PS4 and Xbox One

Mafia: Definitive Edition is a truly visually stunning story that keeps the player’s focus at all times. With simple gameplay, phenomenal story and a great cast of characters set in a fictional setting with real-world themes, this title has come a long way since its original 2002 release. Hangar 13 has done Publisher 2K proud and I recommend playing this for both newcomers of the series and also those who want to revisit a classic. Click here for our full review.

New Super Lucky’s Tale is a title for kids and big kids alike.  It has it all, great platforming with tight controls, a beautiful visual design, amazing sound, lots of level variations and tonnes of extra add ons. As a mascot, Lucky has a long way to catch Crash, Sonic and Mario but he had made a closer step towards them. Saints Row The Third is an entertaining sandbox game that gives the player a set of outstanding tools to create pure mayhem. The characters are memorable with each having their own personality and villains with motives. The missions are the highlight of the show; they keep the player on their toes and constantly mix up the experience. The remaster allows current players to jump into Steelport seamlessly and fans of the series will have a blast returning. To put it how Johnny Gat would, freedom, fun and a f#$@ing good time. There is plenty of fun to be had here for SpongeBob and platforming fans alike. SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated is a by the numbers platformer, that has the player collecting objects, pounding on enemies and mixing up play styles. Tony Hawks Pro Skater 1+2 – PS4 and Xbox One

Vicarious Visions have nailed this remake from start to finish.  With the inclusion of Neversoft’s original design with their own added flavours, they have made a game that is both immensely fun and challenging.  The focus on customisation options for both the skaters and the skate parks is so detailed and leaves a freshness to an accomplished masterpiece.
