Future Games E3 2021 Recap

E3 Showcases are always a moment of excitement and a feeling similar to that of a kid waking up on Christmas morning busting to find out what presents await underneath the Christmas tree, Monday 9 am AEST was that moment for Future Games. Whilst the Future Games E3 Showcase is a newcomer to the E3 world, it didn’t fail to disappoint, landing with a bang! The Showcase was hosted by Laura Bailey who as many will know, voiced Abby in the Last of Us Part 2, and Troy Baker who voiced the man everyone knows as Joel in The Last of Us and The Last of Us Part 2.  With Laura and Troy hosting the show, the energy and banter that felt like a humorous awkwardness between the hosts meant that viewers were immediately put to ease and in a good mindset for the show that was about to unfold.

It was an action-packed 90 minutes of game reveals and a smattering of guests who popped up during the showcase to talk about certain games. The showcase was informative and enjoyable especially when you consider that they packed in 32 game reveals, game montages, and interviews into 90 minutes of streaming. The games reveals during the Future Games E3 2021 Showcase were:

Instinction:

Dinosaurs and the Prehistoric era seem to be all the rage at the moment; the world premiere of Instinction from Hashbane Interactive drops players into a game that has a survival-horror theme to it with a notion that it will have open-world elements to it whilst the gameplay showed a world where the dinosaurs were hunting humans. It is expected to be available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with PC users getting access before anywhere else.
