Xbox Games Showcase – Part 2

This morning Xbox again took to the virtual E3 stage to showcase some of the large number of titles coming to Xbox over the next few years.

The show, hosted by Gamertag Radio’s Parris Lilly, saw viewers get a deep dive into a number of the titles show at the Xbox Bethesda showcase on Monday, as well as offering a few extra surprises.

Here’s what we saw:

Forza Horizon 5 – Xbox Series S/X, Xbox One, PC – 9 November 2021

The audience got a deeper look into the world of Forza Horizon 5 including the details of the setting of Mexico, EventLab and more.

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 – Showcase link

Next we heard from the team at Ninja Theory who also brought with them a sneak peak at the next game in the Hellblade series. Those that enjoyed the first game will be excited to see this video.

Xbox Design Labs – Showcase link

Next up was the return of Xbox Design Labs and its move into the new generation of controllers with more colours and further customisation options. Sadly, at this stage, Design Labs isn’t available to the Australian or New Zealand audience. We will update you when we know more. For now, here’s the chat.

Psychonauts 2 – 25th August 

Double Fine Productions Tim Schafer took us on a deep dive into the world of Psychonauts 2. Showcasing the gameplay, the scenery and story of the game.

The Anacrusis – Xbox and PC – Spring 2021

The team behind The Anacrusis provided viewers with a deep into the mechanics of the co-op shooter including how the game adapts the play style of the team.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl – 28 April 2022

Here we took at deeper look into the trailer of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 with the team behind the game. The teams PR Specialist gave us further insight into what was shown, along with a few extra teasers along the way.

A Plague Tale: Innocence – Series S/X enhancements – 6 July 2021 – Showcase link

Next up, after the surprise of A Plague Tale 2 at the first showcase, gamers can now go back and play the first one in full Series S/X enhanced glory on the 6th July. The showcase gave us a look at that.

Age of Empires IV – PC – 28 October 2021

World’s Edge Creative Director Adam Isgreen and World’s Edge Director of Customer Voice Emma Bridle provided us with a further look into the trailer, as well as providing further details on other content to come to the game. This included two new civilisations, story arcs and campaigns, and naval combat.

Battlefield 2042 – 22 October 2021

The Battlefield 2042 team then provided a deeper look into the game on the Series S/X. Battlefield 2042 Design Director Daniel Berlin discussed the game including game modes (including more details on Breakthrough), land, air and sea combat, allowing players to create their own unique experience, game modes, 128 player battles and more.

Sea of Thieves: A Pirate’s Life – 22 June – Showcase link

Joe Neate gave players their first look at gameplay of the upcoming Sea of Thieves and Pirates of the Caribbean crossover along with the teaser of another Sea of Thieves showcase to come on the 20th June at 11:00 AM PT.

Microsoft Flight Simulator – Xbox Series S/X – 27 July

Head of Microsoft Flight Simulator Jorg Neumann brought fans a deep dive into bringing the game to the Series S/X as well as details on the new onboarding experience for the game, Flight Assistant (an A.I. pilot who can fly you to iconic locations across the world) and the Top Gun: Maverick expansion.

Hades – 13 August

Supergiant Games Creative Director Greg Kasavin took viewers through the game on the Xbox and previewed some of the 30 different characters you meet along the way.

Grounded – Shroom & Doom update – 30 June

We then headed into the backyard and took a deep dark dive into the Shroom & Doom update for Grounded with Game Director Adam Brennecke and Community Manager Aarik Dorobiala. Viewers saw mushroom crafting, a major boss in the Brood Mother as well as some community inspired features like pets.

Shredders – Xbox Series S/X – December 2021

This brought a deep dive into the tech behind the open world of Shredders and showcased some of what gamers can expect when they hit the slopes in December.

Halo Infinite – Holiday 2021

The first tease of Halo Infinite’s mulitplayer at Monday’s show grabbed the audience, pushing it to the number 1 trending video on YouTube.

This time around 343 Industries Associate Creative Director of Multiplayer Tom French, 343 Industries Lead Sandbox Designer Quinn Delhoyo, and 343 Industries Multiplayer Designer Alex Bea took us further into what was shown on Monday, as well as added other details into the discussion.

The team also took us for a look into:

  • Spartan Academy – a training area helping new Spartans get an understanding of the fundamental’s of Infinite.
  • A 12 v 12 vehicle infused Big Team Battle game mode.
  • Character customisation and the return of seasons

Scarlet Nexus – Showcase Link

Today we got a deep dive with the team behind Scarlet Nexus as we saw it in action on the Series X delivering 4K 60fps beauty.

What has been shown by Xbox across E3 has been nothing short of amazing and this show just complimented Monday morning nicely.

This E3 has been the best showing Xbox has had in a long time and this show capped off an amazing E3 for Xbox.

So many great things to come if you are an Xbox fan, and even better if you have a Game Pass subscription.
