Review- Forza Horizon 5

As the minutes ticked down, the days faded away and the months went by, the excitement of being able to play Forza Horizon 5 started to build slowly but surely. Finally, launch day arrives, Forza Horizon 5 starts with a bang, the opener eclipses the openers of Forza Horizon 3 and 4 in one fell swoop with extravaganza aplenty. Forza Horizon 5 leaves players with no doubt in how vast the game’s map will be, the huge variety of races, storylines and side quests that will greet players as they progress through the stages.

Power On: The Story of Xbox

Power On: The Story of Xbox is a 6 part series that will take you behind the scenes of the iconic console and show you what it took to get it to where we are today.

The series will launch on the 13th of December.

New Backwards Compatible Games

As part of today’s celebrations, more that 70 games were added to the backward compatibility program with over 20 of those from the original Xbox era.

This includes the Max Payne and F.E.A.R. series, Skate, Dead or Alive Ultimate, Star Wars: Jedi Knight II, Star Wars: Starfighter, Otogi and a whole heap more.

The Rock Reveals the Xbox Vault

During today’s show the Rock revealed a partnership between Xbox and Netflix‘a Red Notice

“Revealed by The Rock himself during the 20th Anniversary Celebration broadcast, The Xbox Vault is an immersive online experience inspired by Red Notice and filled with legendary Xbox artifacts, giving fans a chance to win one of a selection of limited-edition prizes, including a painting of “The Rock”; replica “Cleopatra Eggs” modeled after the movie props; custom “Red Notice” Xbox Series X consoles; and collectible trading cards featuring 12-month subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.”

How good was this mornings show and as you would have seen, Halo Infinite’s Multiplayer is here in beta form for players to play right now.

Lightyear Frontier MIX Next Trailer – Mech Showcase

Rainbow Six Extraction Free Post-Launch and Endgame Trailer

Ubisoft have today dropped a new trailer to showcase the post-launch content plans for the upcoming Rainbow Six Extraction.

The game which launches on the 20th January will see free post-launch content and also bring with it an evolving end game, as well as a buddy pass token allowing owners of the game to bring their friends along for a ride.

The post launch details are as follows:

“Risk it all in Maelstrom Protocol, a thrilling weekly challenge mode with tiered ranks, built for the most skilled Rainbow Six players. Players must navigate a series of nine subzones with increasing difficulty, tougher enemies, quickly depleting resources, and allotted time getting shorter at each stage. At each checkpoint, squads must choose to either extract to bank their points or attempt to push to the end. Earning points will secure a place for challengers in up to five classes, from Bronze to Silver to Gold, Platinum and even Diamond Class, each rewarding players with special headgear and REACT Credits.

Rainbow Six Extraction will feature a variety of other exciting challenges, including Crisis Events and Assignments. Crisis Events are limited-time, game-changing events with themed content, introducing a new Operator to your roster or a new dangerous Protean enemy to defeat. In the first Crisis Event, Spillover, players must wipe out mass colonies of an evolved version of the Sprawl as hordes of Archæans attempt to stop them. These events will reward exclusive REACT Tech, new cosmetics, and new lore.

Assignments are weekly modes with gameplay modifiers that put players’ skills to the test. For example, Veteran Mode involves no HUD, limited ammo, and friendly fire enabled. At launch, players can tackle both Maelstrom Protocol and weekly Assignments, with Crisis Events becoming available soon after.”
