Happy Monday Gamer’s, Welcome the this weeks Weekend Wrap – did you miss any of our news or articles that were posted over the weekend? Well we have everything you need right here. There is news of a new Tom Clancy title coming out, the team behind SKATE have something to announce soon, Pokemon Unite is almost here and more.

We start like we always do with this weeks top stories in our “Week That Was”

The Week That Was!

We have all the news and announcements from the past week in one spot. Valve announce the handheld Steam Deck gaming PC and we couldn’t be more excited. Nintendo release a lot of new merchandise. And sadly a couple of AAA delays. We have one review in that of Boomerang X and also launch our 2nd stage of best Xbox games of the generation. We finish with 31 of the latest trailers for upcoming games, including Forza Horizon 5, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, Company of Heroes 3, Deathloop, Fifa 22 and lots more. Pokemon Unite

This morning The Pokémon Company and TiMi Studios announced Pokémon’s first strategic team battle game, Pokémon UNITE, is arriving July 21st 2021.

New Tom Clancy Title

Ubisoft are announcing a brand new game set in the Tom Clancy universe tomorrow morning at 4am AEST.

IGN have shown off a little teaser of the new Tom Clancy game to be announced tomorrow.
The rumour being that it is a Free-to-Play PVP title in a Splinter Cell / The Division / Breakpoint mashup. This is rumour until confirmed tomorrow at the show.

SKATE

The team behind SKATE aren’t ready to be showing anything at the upcoming EA Play but they have said that something will be coming tomorrow as per their social media post below.
Keep an eye out for what’s to come.

Fortnite Leaks

The latest Fortnite leaks to come out detail a number of potential in-game events and characters to come to the game.
The details of the leak are at follows:
“Ariane Grande will be coming soon and will have a in-game concert (Concert has already had a test launch done by staff at Epic)
Members of the Justice League & Suicide Squad will be added to the game (Don’t know which characters will be added/Characters still being cleared by legal)
Wasn’t sure if Batman Who Laughs will be added, but didn’t rule it out
Epic is currently trying to get the Naruto for Season 8 battlepass
Season 8 will include a explosive kunai weapon
Upcoming Seasons/Chapter News
– The Cube will return at the end of Season 7 (Controlled by unknown Queen character that will play a part in Chapter 3)
– Chapter 3 will redesign the map completely
– Location of The Seven will be revealed in Chapter 3
– Season 8 will include something called “The Sideways” (Similar to Stranger Things/Will release monsters into the game)
– Ridable Monsters/Mechs will come to the Island at some point (Probably not this season)”

Good Morning Gamers

CD Projekt Red have announced that a new Witcher game is in development and that it will be developed in Unreal Engine 5.

The blog below also details their multi year strategic partnership with Epic Games.

“It covers not only licensing, but technical development of Unreal Engine 5, as well as potential future versions of Unreal Engine, where relevant. We'll closely collaborate with Epic Games’ developers with the primary goal being to help tailor the engine for open-world experiences.”
