The Weekend Wrap – Monday, November 1st 2021
Happy Monday Gamers, today marks the beginning of the season of new releases that will see gamers through to the end of the year and into 2022, with Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy and Mario Party Superstars launching last week the next few months will be very packed for gamers on all consoles. This weeks edition of the weekend wrap is another small one but some interesting news nonetheless, as always before we look forward, we need to look back and we do that by the OMG Week that Was!
Here at OMG, we have all the news and announcements from the past week in one spot. PlayStation has hosted a smaller State of Play showing off new titles coming to PS5 and PS4. PlayStation and Xbox have announced their new monthly games, with Sony giving 3 extra titles for PS VR players. We have 2 reviews with The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes and Alan Wake: Remastered. To finish off we have 30 0f this week’s newest trailers including Halo Infinite campaign gameplay, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, A new Dark Pictures, Forza Horizon 5, Iron Harvest, Peppa Pig and lots more. SEGA and Microsoft to Explore Strategic Alliance
Here’s some interesting news for this afternoon.
SEGA has released the below press release detailing a strategic partnership between the company and Microsoft.
The press release that can be seen below talks about the partnership and the focus on the future of not just games, but also working with Microsoft to anticipate the trends associated with the games industry. This press release also identifies SEGA’s Super Game project:
“The alliance would form a key part of SEGA’s mid to long-term strategy, allowing the business to move forward with “Super Game”, a new initiative for developing new and innovative titles where the key focuses are “Global”, “Online”, “Community” and “IP utilization”.”
The joint focus by Microsoft and SEGA on the whole gaming ecosystem is great sign for the future of gaming anywhere.

Weird West | Road to Weird West: Episode 1
Sheriff WolfEye Studios and their slack-jawed deputy Devolver Digital have announced that Weird West, their upcoming action RPG experience set within a surreal vision of the developing frontier, is coming to PC, PlayStation and Xbox on January 11th. To coincide with the news, the bucking broncos have opened pre-orders on Steam and released the first part of a brand new video series. WolfEye Studios creative director Raf Colantonio walks through an overview of the game in the first of a series of deeper dive videos.

The end of each game in The Dark Pictures Anthology brings the teaser for the next game and we now know that the next game, and last in the series is The Devil In Me.
