It’s Monday again, you’ve survived another week, and hopefully got some game time in with a couple great titles released on Friday, including 12 minutes and Ghosts of Tsushima – Directors Cut. With all that aside, it is time to dive head first into The Weekend Wrap. Tonight’s edition covers all the news you might have missed from the last 72 hours including 343 Industries delaying co-op and forge in Halo Infinite, a special preview for the PlayStation fans of Call of Duty: Vanguard and find out what Australian musicians are lending their talents to the soundtrack for Life is Strange: True Colours.

Quakecon has started and we are covering it. Xbox has a lot more Game Pass additions. Nintendo and Pokémon showed off a lot of upcoming Pokémon projects and we have a PlayStation Father’s Day guide.

Halo Infinite Development Update – August
From today’s update from the 343i team, co-op campaign and forge will be delayed and not part of the launch when the game launches this year.

Xbox Gamescom Preview Night
Ahead of Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 25, Xbox will host its own warm-up stream on August 24 at 3am AEST via YouTube, Twitch, Facebook Gaming and Twitter.

Angus and Julius Stone Creating the Soundtrack for Life is Strange: True Colors
It has been detailed over the weekend that award-winning Aussie music group Angus and Julius Stone are the artists behind the soundtrack for the upcoming Life is Strange: True Colors.
“The emotional and thrilling story of the latest instalment in the award-winning Life is Strange franchise, Life is Strange: True Colors inspired the Australian artists to make an album dedicated to the complexity of love between siblings, families and communities – themes that players will also experience in-game.
Players take on the role of Alex Chen, a young woman navigating early adulthood in Haven Springs, a mountain town where she connects with her long-lost brother and becomes a part of a tight-knit community – her brother having moved there in search for their long-lost father. Amidst this backdrop, Alex struggles to accept a ‘curse” she’s dealt with all her life: having the psychic power of Empathy, a supernatural ability that allows her to experience, absorb and influence the strong emotions of others – which she sees as blazing, coloured auras.
When her brother dies in a suspicious accident, Alex must at last embrace her volatile power to find the truth and uncover the secrets that keep the truth at bay. Alex Chen’s journey, power and future are all fully under the player’s control.”

WWE 2K22 Coming March 2022
2K and Visual concepts have released the latest trailer for the upcoming WWE 2K22 revealing that it will make its way to gamers on in March 2022.
“The reveal was made with an electrifying video package of WWE 2K22 gameplay featuring WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio, as well as a first glance at Roman Reigns, Goldberg, Bayley, Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre, The Miz, Sheamus, Shinsuke Nakamura, Rhea Ripley, Finn Bálor, Ricochet and Kane. A screenshot of WWE Superstar Edge was also shared, showing off incredible detail in his entrance attire, pyrotechnics, and stage lighting.
WWE 2K22 promises new controls, incredible graphics, and a redesigned engine for the most impressive WWE 2K experience to date. As part of the game’s development process, 85% of the in-game roster has taken part in facial scanning for ultra-realistic and updated character models, and more than 3,400 new animations have been captured.”

Xbox One Games of a Generation: Stage 2 Best of 2019
Join us as we explore the next stage in our Xbox One Games of a Generation polls and whittle down each year and get closer to working out what are the top Xbox One games of its generation.
We have 12 amazing titles make it through Stage 2 Best of 2018. Forza Horizon 4 surprisingly to some took out top spot just a vote over Red Dead Redemption 2 and Far Cry 5. Wrapping up the top 5 was Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. Next, we saw two titles that have had a lot of post launch work, No Man’s Sky and Sea of Thieves. We had 5 titles all draw that final three spots, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, Life is Strange 2, NieR: Automata – Become as Gods Edition and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.
2019 was arguably the biggest year for the Xbox One and from Stage 1 we have 40 massive titles, so with that number each voter gets up to 8 votes and at least 8 titles will go through to Stage 3.
