It’s Monday again, you’ve survived another week, and hopefully got some game time in. With all that aside, it is time to dive head first into The Weekend Wrap. Tonight’s edition covers all the news you might have missed from the last 72 hours including reviews of Darker Skies, Horror Tales: The Wine and Greak: Memories of Azur, plus another edition of Xbox One Games of a Generation, Saints Row news, a new Smurfs  and Metroid game, plus more trailers and announcements.

The Week That Was

Here at OMG we have all the news and announcements from the past week in one spot. Gamescom is here and with it comes a large number of announcements, such as Saints Row is back. Xbox has a new Halo themed Series X and Elite controller. We got a great look at Call of Duty Vanguard gameplay and so much more from gamescom. To continue the gamescom celebrations we have TWELVE massive reviews this week with Psychonauts 2, King’s Bounty II, Twelve Minutes, Lake, Foreclosed, Marvel’s Avengers: War for Wakanda, Pile Up! Box to Box, Black Book, Yuoni, Bloodroots, Mask of Mists (Seris X|S Edition) and Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassin. To finish off we have 50 of this weeks newest trailers including Forza Horizon 5, Dying Light 2, Lego Star Wars, Saints Row, Psychonauts 2, Rider’s Republic, Call of Duty Vanguard, Life is Strange: True Colors and lots more. Review – Lake

Providence Oaks is a beautiful, scenic, sleepy town that Meredith Weiss once called home in Lake. Returning to the town she grew up in for two weeks to fill in for her father, Meredith trades in her IT hat to don the blue attire of the Providence Oaks postal service. Delivering mail on her daily rounds introduces her to some of the quirky townsfolk and reacquaints her with faces from her past and those close to her parents.

Review – Greak: Memories of Azur

Greak: Memories of Azur is a brand-new side-scrolling platform adventure and the debut title from developers Navegante Entertainment. The game takes the players on a 6-to-8-hour adventure as they take on the role of three siblings whose aim is defeating those who have invaded Azur in hopes of escape through the construction of an airship.

Review – Darker Skies

Darker Skies is the follow up to Grey Skies: A War of the Worlds Story from developer Steel Arts Software. Inspired by the infamous works and stories of H.G. Wells, Darker Skies tells the tale of Jack, a survivor of the War of the Worlds, on his mission to collect the parts he needs to construct a heat ray, blast his way to freedom and hopefully find the means to restore civilisation.

After its initial announcement at Gamescom, Deep Silver and Volition have given gamers their next look into the world of the next game in the Saints Row series. The latest video takes gamers on a deep dive into Santo Ileso, the setting for the upcoming game, in preparation for its launch on the 25th February 2022.

New Metroid Dread Trailer

Release Date for The King of Fighters XV

The King of Fighters XV has received its official launch date at Gamescom this week where Koch Media and SNK CORPORATION announced that the game will make its way to the PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series S/X, Steam and the Epic Games Store on the 17th February 2022.

The Smurfs – Mission Vileaf

Battlefield 2042 Open Beta

The Battlefield 2042 Open Beta has been listed on the Xbox store.
The description states:

Surely the links appearance means the beta is close. Only time will tell though.
