Desperados III – PS4 and Xbox One

From the story being detailed and well thought out to the fun gameplay, Desperados III is an amazing prequel to the games released back in the early 2000’s. Evan’s Remain – PS4, Switch and Xbox One

If you love puzzles then this game is a must have.  At a price of $9.95 AUD this 3 to 5-hour game is a great purchase.  The story, which is funny, sincere, dark and emotional at times, builds until you reach the massive ending that will take the player by surprise as it did this reviewer. Gears Tactics – Xbox One and Series X|S

Gear Tactics delivers a true Gears experience without the third person over the shoulder gameplay that fans have come to associate the series with. It has the grit, gore and chainsaw wielding gameplay fun that fans want, while reducing the pace and increasing the tactics that gamers of the top down strategy games expect. It is a visually stunning game that benefits from the power of the next-gen and presents a great looking universe reflective of any of the Gear’s games. Being such a long game, the repetitive nature of objectives become present later on and I just wish it would give me more reason to care about my whole squad, instead of just using those that weren’t needed as cannon fodder. This is a great experience that Gears fan and turn-based strategy gamers will love, and others can find some fun here as well. John Wick Hex – PS4, Switch and Xbox One

John Wick Hex cannot easily be compared to the film series in regards to the action and pacing. To make the comparison is unfair to the experience it provides. The alternative gameplay formula may not be fast paced and adrenaline fuelled but the calculated approach to combat is one that is unique and can be fun in its own right. Expectations of a breakneck campaign starring an expert assassin will not be met but for those interested in a turn based meticulous gameplay experience will enjoy the challenge. Tetris Effect: Connected is a great game for family, fans and anyone looking for something less of “blow things up” to play. It offers a great fun and even better looking experience with a soundtrack to match. It’s a game that Tetris fans, puzzle fans and those looking for something different to enjoy. Two Point Hospital – PS4, Switch and Xbox One

For well over 20 years players have been enjoying management simulation games such as Sim City, The Sims, Roller Coaster Tycoon and Zoo Tycoon. Before most of those however were Theme Park and Theme Hospital, the latter being a quirky hospital management sim released in 1997 on PC and the original PlayStation that required the player to control every facet of a large hospital. Wasteland 3 – PS4 and Xbox One

Wasteland 3 will keep the player continually thinking but at the same time having a lot of fun. The deep storyline relies on secondary mission playthroughs and exploration, encountering new colourful characters along the way. Yakuza: Like A Dragon – Xbox One and Series XS

Yakuza: Like A Dragon is a refreshing restart on an established and well-liked game series, it has more than enough to keep the players who have played previous Yakuza games happy, whilst also bringing in new players who have never played this series before. The game performs well on the Xbox One X whilst it leaps to another level when played on the Xbox Series X, which will make players truly appreciate the work that the developers from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and SEGA have put into the game as it plays.
